The
Minister of Health and Public Hygiene, Professor Tchin Darre, paid a supportive
visit to several Lomé hospitals, notably the CHU and CMS. The aim of the tour
was to encourage the health staff who are mobilized during this festive period,
to present them with his New Year wishes and to offer them a hot meal in
recognition of their dedication.
During
the visit, it was noted that the capital's hospitals were recording a low
number of road accident victims. Only 15 cases were reported between December
31 and January 1, 2025, all of which were effectively dealt with by medical
staff. Two minor cases of food poisoning were also reported. These reassuring
results testify to the exemplary mobilization of medical teams and the
population's increased compliance with safety instructions.
