The Agoè-Nyivé health district is holding its annual
performance review from 06 to 09 February 2023 in Lomé. The aim of this workshop is to contribute to
improving the health of the population of the Agoè-Nyivé health district.
Over the course of 04 days, participants will assess
the extent to which the main performance indicators have been achieved, and
identify the strengths, areas for improvement and bottlenecks that are
hampering the implementation of activities in the Agoè-Nyivé health district.
They will also propose solutions and make recommendations to deal with the
problems and shortcomings.
For Dr Tchilalou Tagba-Péléï, Prefectural Director of
Health (DPS Agoenyivé), all sectors are represented, as health is not just the
concern of health staff, but of everyone who has access to care. « We
want to evaluate ourselves before the regional review. It's also an opportunity
for us to discuss the problems we've encountered that are preventing us from
achieving results. Each public and private health facility will present what it
has achieved and the challenges it has faced.
Together, we will plan our activities for 2024. We will also be holding
a panel discussion on universal health insurance ».
The meeting will include group work, plenary presentations of reports based on performance indicators, discussions on specific issues and analysis of problems. Proposed solutions will also be put forward to improve future results. In 2022, an evaluation of the national health map revealed 252 illegal health facilities that had not obtained authorisation.
Dr. Tchilalou Tagba-Péléï invited all those involved to take an active part by making more contributions in order to improve the quality of health service provision in the various health facilities in the Agoenyivé prefecture. She urged health professionals to continue in this vein for the betterment of the population.
Dr Josée Yawa Djatugbé Apetsianyi, Regional Director
of Health (DRS) Lomé-Commune, urged participants to do a job well done. She
invited health professionals to adopt responsible behaviour in their day-to-day
activities. In her speech, the DRS recalled the government's vision, through
universal health insurance, to work for the health of the population.
