The Équipe Cadre Régional (ECR) du Grand-Lomé organized a training workshop for quality council members from the Agoè-Nyivé and Golfe districts in Lomé from June 3 to 8, 2024. The aim of the workshop was to reinforce their knowledge and skills in improving health care and services.

All members of the Regional Management Teams (ECR) from Togo's various health regions, including Grand-Lomé, were trained to master training documents and techniques for evaluating and monitoring quality improvement in healthcare. The aim of the Ministry of Health is to roll out this quality approach to all health facilities in the country.

With this in mind, the Grand-Lomé ECR, with support from the Central Level, has trained members of the Agoè-Nyivé and Golfe district councils. The training aims to strengthen the capacity of quality council members to improve health care and services. The training included a day of supervised fieldwork at the Cacaveli hospital in Agoè-Nyivé and at the Centre de Santé de Lomé in Golfe. This practical phase enabled participants to familiarize themselves with the administration of assessment tools. The other two practical days were devoted to identifying problems and drawing up a plan to improve the quality of care and services in the districts. This training is an essential step in guaranteeing better quality health care and services. It is important to equip local players with the skills they need to effectively coordinate and manage quality improvement initiatives in their respective districts.
