the healing process. Here are some of the best foods to provide the body with

spoonful of honey. This mixture can be drunk on its own or diluted in a cup of
warm water.
Ginger

tea. Ginger tea is characterised by its strong anti-inflammatory action, which

Cooked
carrots

vegetable contains nutrients such as vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, fibre and
potassium. It's a food that boosts the immune system and helps fight sore
throats, as long as it's eaten cooked. Eating raw carrots while suffering from
a sore throat can be harmful to an irritated throat and make the problem worse.
Chicken
soup
This classic
recipe is excellent for boosting the immune system, fighting viral infections
and relieving symptoms such as sore throat and congestion. It has mild
anti-inflammatory properties and prevents viruses from coming into contact with
mucous membranes. A good chicken soup can include carrots, onions, celery,
turnips, potatoes and garlic.
Garlic
and onions
Both garlic
and onions contain sulphur compounds that have an expectorant and mucolytic
action, meaning they help to expel mucus from the respiratory tract. They are
considered to be powerful natural antibiotics, capable of fighting viral and
bacterial infections, thus relieving the symptoms of sore throats.
