The Institut National d'Assurance
Maladie (INAM) is informing its beneficiaries of Universal Health Insurance
(AMU) of major changes in the management of this insurance, in accordance with

information was made public in a press release dated 11 April 2024.
Under the terms of the decree, INAM will cover the
following people: civil servants and employees of the State, local authorities,
public establishments and legal entities governed by public law, members of
public institutions for the duration of their term of office, holders of civil
and military pensions, and vulnerable individuals and households under the
medical insurance scheme.
According to the press release, from1 April

transition is to ensure efficient management of the AMU by the two managing

Former INAM policyholders
who have transferred to the CNSS are no longer authorised to use INAM cards and
carnets for medical treatment. They must return these tools to their employers
or to INAM.Any continued use of INAM tools will be considered as fraud and will
be punished in accordance with the law.
