Joint pain is pain felt as a result of an ailment affecting one of the components of the joint: the cartilage: the slippery connective tissue on the surface of the joints, the bone beneath the cartilage, the joint capsule: made up of two layers, a fibrous capsule on the outside and a synovial membrane which secretes the synovial fluid on the inside contained in the bursa, the membrane which envelops the joint, the ligaments which connect the muscles to the bones. Joint pain is felt during movement when the joint is put under strain, even during passive movement, i.e. without muscle contraction.

Turmeric, an anti-inflammatory

Turmeric, or rather the active ingredient it contains, curcumin, is a powerful anti-inflammatory, meaning it can reduce the pain and intensity of inflammation. Scientific studies show that turmeric is effective in the fight against inflammation, both in treating pain and in the targeted reduction of inflammatory sites. If joint pain is mild, fresh turmeric, cut into small pieces and added to dishes, or turmeric powder can be used. For moderate pain, you can prepare infusions of fresh or powdered turmeric to temporarily soothe joint pain.
