Paracetamol is frequently recommended to mothers-to-be to relieve pain during pregnancy because it does not entail any risk of foetal malformation, but it is not a drug to be taken lightly. According to the journal « Paediatric and Perinatal Epidemiology », uncontrolled and regular use of paracetamol during pregnancy is linked to behavioural problems in children, particularly hyperactivity and attention deficit.
