Gastritis
is one of those diseases that is not taken seriously by those who suffer from
it. If not properly treated, it can lead to other diseases, such as ulcers or
stomach cancer.
Gastritis
is an inflammation of the stomach lining that can occur if the stomach produces
too much stomach acid or if the stomach lining is irritated or damaged. It can
be acute or chronic. Acute gastritis occurs briefly and lasts for a very short
time. When it is diagnosed, it can be cured with simple treatment. The
bacterium Helicobacter pylori is often the cause of this form of gastritis. It
can be diagnosed by a blood test in a laboratory. It is also possible to do a
test called a fibroscopy.
There
are several forms of gastritis but the most common is what is known as atrophic
gastritis. If left untreated, this form can develop into cancer. There are
three types of chronic gastritis: type A, type B and type C. Acute gastritis,
on the other hand, can be caused by stress, excessive consumption of coffee,
alcohol, tobacco, some medicines or in most cases it is caused by a bacterium
that survives the acidity of the stomach (Helicobacter pylori).
In
most cases, gastritis goes unnoticed or is manifested by loss of appetite,
feeling full, nausea, vomiting. The patient with acute or chronic gastritis
complains of burning and cramping in the stomach. This is because these
symptoms often occur at mealtimes or immediately afterwards.
Treatment
Gastritis
can develop into complications such as bleeding, ulcers, narrowing of the
stomach outlet, and even stomach cancer due to poor monitoring or neglect or
failure to treat. The diagnosis is made by a doctor after imaging and
histological examinations. The treatment of gastritis will depend on the cause
of the gastritis, taking into account the symptoms of the disease.
The
patient must follow the instructions and appointments given by the doctor,
during which the doctor will evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment and
the evolution of the disease. Avoid irritating foods, monitor fibre intake,
check that food is cooked properly, limit the use of spices or spicy foods,
fatty foods, foods with too much sugar, avoid carbonated drinks, take time to
eat, divide your food into smaller portions, pay attention to the temperature
of food.
Recipe:
Wash and cut the raw cabbage into pieces and put it in the juicer. Choose
organic cabbage heads, which are firm without discolouration. The juice can be
mixed with carrots and apples. Take this cabbage juice cure, one glass a day.
Consume
this natural remedy, while maintaining good eating habits: avoid sources of
saturated fats, very spicy dishes and other irritating foods, increase water
consumption and spread your meals over five portions per day.
