The National Social Security Fund (CNSS) held its information day at the 20th Lomé International Fair (FIL) on Thursday, December 11, 2025. The event provided an opportunity to present the outlines of the Universal Health Insurance for Self-Employed Workers (AMU TNS), launched on October 23, 2025. This initiative is part of the vision to guarantee access to quality healthcare at a lower cost for all. The primary insured, whether male or female, can cover their legally married spouse and up to four children under the age of 21.

There are four payment options to choose from: monthly (10,000 CFA francs), quarterly (28,500 CFA francs), semi-annual (54,000 CFA francs), or annual (102,000 CFA francs). After enrollment, there is a three-month waiting period before coverage begins. However, workers who enroll during this campaign and pay at least three months of contributions (28,500 CFA francs) will be able to obtain their card and access care as of January 2026. Covered benefits include general medicine, hospitalization, surgery, imaging, and pregnancy-related care. The CNSS took advantage of the 20th FIL to enroll several workers at its booth. Enrollment is available at www.tns.cnss.tg.
