The WHO recommends that adults consume no more than 100g of total sugars per day and no more than one sweetened drink. Most of the sugars consumed today are hidden in processed foods that are generally not considered sweet. A teaspoon of ketchup, for example, contains about 4 grams of sugar. A can of soda contains up to 40 grams. So, give preference to water, if possible tea, coffee (without excess) and unsweetened infusions. Learn to indulge yourself with less sweetened foods.
