The
Regional Hospital Centre (RHC) of Sokodé held its 2022 annual review of health
activities on 1 and 2 March 2022, in the meeting room of the Social Action
Directorate in Sokodé. The participants analysed and measured the level of
achievement of the results of each service during the year 2022 and identified
the bottlenecks. They also proposed new strategies and made recommendations to
improve patient care. This was in the presence of the administrative and
medical staff of the RHC, the Regional Director of Health (DRS) Central Region,
the Directors of the CRTS and ENASS, the DPS of Tchaoudjo and the
representatives of the partners of the RHC Sokodé.
The
annual review occupies a place of choice and is a decision-making tool in the
operation of hospitals, as required by the provisions of the National Health
Development Plan (PNDS) 2017-2022. It is within this framework that the CHR
Sokodé organised its 2022 annual review of health activities. The purpose of
this review was to analyse the results obtained during the year 2022 in order
to identify possible problems and find solutions to improve the quality of
services provided to the populations of the central region and its
surroundings.
During
the two days, the work was mainly devoted to presentations of the services. The
medical, surgical, paediatric, gynaecological and obstetric, ophthalmological
and stomatological services presented the results obtained in 2022. The
participants identified the priority problems identified during the
presentations, which were the subject of group work.
The
opening ceremony was chaired by the Mayor of Tchaoudjo 1, Korodowou Ahini
Mankana who is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sokodé
Regional Hospital. This ceremony was marked by three interventions. The first
intervention was delivered by the Director of CHR Sokodé, Foly-Yssouh Foly
Lanta. "This review aims essentially to measure the level of achievement
of the results of each service, make an analysis of its results obtained in
2022, identify problems and approaches to solutions and make
recommendations," he said. He thanked the health authorities and partners
for the actions and efforts deployed that have enabled his structure to achieve
a satisfactory result.
The
Regional Director of Health of the Central Region, Dr N'tapi Kassouta, in his
speech, stressed the importance of this meeting. For him, it is for the
reinforcement of achievements and to draw lessons in order to overcome future
difficulties. He then insisted on the need to offer quality care to the
population.
The
Mayor of Tchaoudjo 1, Korodowou Ahini Mankana, thanked the Head of State Faure
Essosimna Gnassingbé and his government for making the health sector a priority
for the development of the country.
At
the end of this annual review, a roadmap was drawn up to improve the quality of
care given to the population in the year 2023.
