Female
orgasm can take different forms, most commonly vaginal orgasm or clitoral
orgasm. The latter is provoked in the clitoris and is « easier » to
trigger. Some women also experience vaginal orgasm. Here are some signs of
orgasm.
A
favourite subject of sexologists, the female orgasm is a mystery. How can you
tell the difference between simple sexual pleasure and true enjoyment? Here are
a few signs that will help you to see things more clearly.
The
vagina contracts
In
women, orgasm is generally expressed by automatic and involuntary contractions
of the vagina, the uterus and the surrounding muscles. The first contractions
are often more intense and then tend to decrease in intensity. The average
interval between two contractions may be 0.8 seconds. In total, the orgasm may
last 3 to 12 seconds.
Muscles
tense up
Especially
in the case of clitoral orgasm, all the muscles in the woman's body tense up.
Her breathing quickens and she may moan. At this point, the same sensitive area
should continue to be stimulated and at the same rate, the clitoris will tend
to swell a little and become more visible. The vagina secretes a lubricating
liquid in varying quantities depending on the woman.
The
genitals are hyper sensitive
When
stimulation is prolonged, blood flows into the genitals and into certain parts
of the body such as the breasts. These can increase by up to 20%. It is this
blood flow that causes the clitoris to become erect, the labia to swell, the
vagina to dilate and sometimes the nipples to harden. A mucous fluid is
secreted at the time of orgasm by the glands at the entrance to the vagina.
You
blush with adrenaline
At
the moment of orgasm, the cheeks turn red. The genitals, including the clitoris
and labia, also become redder, swollen by the influx of blood. Sometimes red
patches on certain areas such as the chest and upper back may appear, but don't
panic. This is the adrenaline that dilates the superficial vessels of the skin.
Some
may go as far as female ejaculation, but this is rare. A clear, abundant liquid
resembling sperm gushes out of the urethra, secreted by the glands located at
the G-spot.
Then
you get high
When
it perceives orgasm or physical pleasure, the pituitary gland, that useful
little brain gland, triggers the secretion of endomorphins. These are natural
molecules similar to morphine that give a feeling of well-being and fullness.
A
real orgasm is followed by a so-called recessive phase. The genitals return to
their normal size and colour. The muscles relax, breathing and tension calm
down.
