Justin Tchilabalo Pilanté was appointed Director General of the National Health Insurance Institute (INAM) on Monday 07 October 2024. This took place during a handover ceremony between him and his predecessor, Myriam Dossou-D'Almeida, who has been appointed to a senior parliamentary post as Vice-President of the National Assembly. The ceremony was presided over by Jean-Marie Koffi Ewonoulé Tessi, Minister for Access to Healthcare and Health Coverage.

Justin Tchilabalo Pilanté congratulated and thanked his predecessor for a job well done, and promised to continue working with all INAM staff to ensure the satisfaction of health insurance beneficiaries.

Myriam Dossou-D'Almeida, who has headed INAM since its creation in 2011, congratulated the new Director General on his appointment as head of the institute, and called on all staff to commit and remain mobilised behind him in order to meet the challenges of Universal Health Insurance (UHI).

The Minister for Access to Healthcare and Health Coverage, Jean-Marie Tessi, who presided over the handover ceremony, expressed his satisfaction at the work accomplished by Myriam Dossou-D'Almeida over the past 13 years. He assured the new Director General of his unfailing availability and support in his new role at the head of INAM, to ensure the success of AMU.
