The intestinal flora is a collection of multiple micro-organisms that live in the digestive tract, particularly in the colon. A few hours after birth, these microbes, most of which are bacteria, begin to populate the body. They enter through the food we eat. The intestinal flora is our main ally in fermenting and digesting foods that we cannot process on our own, such as vegetable fibres. It also enables the body to produce certain nutrients, absorb minerals and balance the immune system. To strengthen the intestinal flora and prevent intestinal pathologies, opt for this delicious medicinal drink made from a fermented base of pineapple peel.  It helps to cleanse the intestinal flora.

Recipe: The rind of two medium or one large pineapple, 3 to 5 spoonfuls + the juice of 02 pineapples. To begin, wash the pineapple rind well, using a brush and a little vinegar. Then peel the fruit to separate the rind from the pulp. Leave a little pulp on the peel, but do not cut too thinly. Grate the pulp to extract the juice. Then cut the peel into pieces. Place the pieces directly into a large glass jar, then add the water and pineapple juice. Place the jar in a place where the temperature is between 20 and 30°C, for two days. If you choose a colder place, fermentation may take longer. After this time, filter the drink, then add the remaining litre of water. Leave the drink to ferment for a further 12 hours. To stop fermentation, place the jar in the fridge.

How should I use this drink ?

This drink is refreshing and revitalising at any time of day. Drink it on an empty stomach, at least half an hour before eating. Drink a small glass (100 ml) on an empty stomach, then another glass half an hour before lunch and another before dinner. Make this drink part of a balanced diet.
