Spotting the
early signs of skin cancer can save lives. What are the symptoms to watch for?
A mole that itches, bleeds, becomes painful, or oozes should be examined. A
change in size, shape, or color, especially if it has multiple shades (brown,
black, red, white, blue), is also a cause for concern. Molees larger than 7 mm or with irregular edges require special attention. The
ABCDE rule (Asymmetry, Borders, Color, Diameter, Evolution) allows you to
quickly identify the signs of melanoma. To prevent the risk, it is essential to
avoid sun exposure between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m., seek shade, and wear a hat. Vigilance
and prevention are the best weapons against this cancer.
